We're Under Attack
They're doing to us what they did to the Canadian truckers ... and just like the truckers, we're fighting back
Last month, the Winston Smith Initiative partnered with the Aligned Council of Australia to launch Australia’s Greatest Letterbox Drop, a nationwide flyer-dropping campaign designed to rally resistance to the outrageous power grab currently being attempted by the World Health Organisation.
I’ve already written at length about how this campaign works and what it’s intended to achieve, so I won’t repeat myself. The bottom line is that it has been an outstanding success: in less than three weeks we’ve registered 1,900 volunteers and distributed more than a million flyers across the country, delivering our message to a significant share of the Australian population.
The campaign has been so successful in such a short space of time that there now appears to be an organised effort to shut it down. Our online transactions have been blocked, the funds in our Shopify account have been frozen, and as of today, the ACA’s mailing service has been disabled.
In short, we’re under attack.
The first act of interference brought to our attention was the blocked transactions. Within days of launching the Letterbox Drop, I began receiving emails from volunteers saying that their attempts to purchase our flyer bundles were being repeatedly declined, even though they had sufficient funds.
At first these reports were rare, but as the campaign progressed they became more frequent. The rise in reports correlated with a sustained drop in sales, suggesting that the number of people affected was significant.
Still, the majority of transactions seemed to be getting through — or so we thought, until we attempted to access the funds in our Shopify balance. Upon trying to withdraw the money we’d earned, we discovered that every single transaction was still marked as “pending”.
When I asked a Shopify support agent why this was the case, he told me that Shopify’s “payment processing partners” had blocked our payouts.
The agent claims to have escalated the issue to the company’s billing department. That was four days ago. I still haven’t received any kind of explanation, much less a resolution. Every day I chase them up, and every day I receive the same robotic response.
Today I tried to expedite the process by offering documentation that proves the authenticity of our transactions.
It achieved nothing. As of right now, more than $14,000 of legitimate revenue is still being withheld from us.
That money was supposed to pay for our second print run. We could’ve pumped out another million flyers by now; instead we’ve had to postpone further printing because we simply can’t afford it.
Even if we could afford to print more flyers, there’s a high probability that we’d be blocked from selling them. Printing on this scale costs tens of thousands of dollars per run, and therefore isn’t viable unless we have some way of recouping expenses.
They know this. That’s why they’re doing it. It’s political censorship, plain and simple.
The vice tightened even further this morning, when the Aligned Council of Australia awoke to discover that their mailing service had been disabled. The ACA is consequently unable to communicate with its own subscribers — people who freely signed up to the ACA precisely because they wanted to stay informed.
We don’t know exactly who’s behind this — but whoever it is, their game plan is obvious. First, they blocked our ability to trade. Second, they froze our assets in order to strangle our cash flow. And now they appear to be severing our lines of mass communication.
This strategy has enabled them to seriously undermine our campaign without resorting to an outright attack on the main website. But who knows what the future holds? It may only be a matter of time before they go for broke and attempt to shut us down entirely.
I intentionally designed the website in a way that minimises its reliance on Big Tech. That, along with the cybersecurity measures I’ve implemented, has given us an extra layer of protection and security. But I’m not foolish enough to assume that the site is invincible. Our enemies have unlimited resources at their disposal. If they want to wipe us off the internet, they will.
That’s why we need to act now.
If you want to support the Australia’s Greatest Letterbox Drop operation, the best way to do so is by registering as a volunteer. The registration process is quick, simple, and does not require any passwords or personal information.
Once completed, your registration will be counted in our tally. The more volunteers we have, the more attention we’ll get; and the more attention we get, the harder it will be for them to quietly take us out.
After registering, the next step is to authenticate your delivery zone. This can be done in seconds by clicking the link that you receive in your automated confirmation email. Authenticating your delivery zone makes it visible on our interactive map. This helps to minimise overlap between zones and thus ensures that our energy and resources are distributed efficiently.
The second-to-last step is to access flyers. Currently your only option is to download the PDF file and print copies of the flyer yourself, either at home or at a nearby printing facility (library, Officeworks, etc.). This isn’t ideal; but until we regain control of our online store, it’s the best we can do.
And then, finally, you deliver the flyers. Slip them into as many letterboxes as you can within your predefined radius. Every letterbox you hit equates to multiple people who will receive and consider our message. Some of them will ignore it, to be sure — but many will embrace it, and for every person who does, the tide of public opinion turns slightly in our favour.

The events of the past few days have highlighted a paradox. We’ve never been more vulnerable to attack — and yet at the same time, we’ve never been more powerful.
These shadowy entities in Big Tech and the banking industry wouldn’t be trying so hard to take us out if they didn’t think we were a serious threat.
They see how many people we’ve been able to mobilise in such a short space of time, and it’s making them nervous.
The Winston Smith Initiative has been at the forefront of this campaign from the beginning. We designed the core technology on which the operation is based, and for the past two weeks we’ve been among the army of volunteers packing and posting flyer bundles to every corner of Australia.
As we’ve now learnt the hard way, our financial situation is incredibly fragile. We’re only ever a moment away from having our payments blocked and our assets frozen. Having multiple streams of income has never been more important.
If you support what we’re doing, please consider purchasing a paid subscription to this publication. Substack, unlike most Big Tech platforms, has a good record of protecting freedom of speech. It’s the place where we’re least likely to get censored.
A monthly subscription costs less than a pint of beer, but it gives us the financial security that we desperately need during tumultuous times like this. The revenue we generate will never be more than a microscopic fraction of what our opponents have at their disposal — but that speck of spending power, tiny as it is, gives us something to cling to when everything else has been blocked, frozen and taken.
If you have the capacity to do so, click the button below to upgrade your subscription. In light of what we’ve been through, and what undoubtedly lies ahead, even a small amount of support means more than you’ll ever know.
Keep your eye on this publication for the latest updates on our campaign. I have a feeling that things are going to get even more interesting from here.
Testing that this is visible ...
I was one who could not purchase flyers so I printed out 100 and me and the kids delivered them around my zone. Will print some more and deliver more. Not giving up that easy!
