The Casualties: Caitlin Gotze

More than two years on from her daughter's passing, Raelene Gotze is still fighting for justice

The following article has been written by Raelene Gotze. Her daughter, Caitlin, died in 2021 from cardiac arrest shortly after receiving her second Pfizer jab. Authorities attributed her sudden death to “chronic asthma”, even though she had no record of having ever been asthmatic.

Caitlin’s story has previously been shared on other platforms. We intend to do a deep dive into this story in the coming weeks — but for now, here’s what happened in Raelene’s words.

My daughter was mandated to receive two Covid-19 injections by Queensland Racing. She was injected by Queensland Health, with the first Pfizer jab on 6th September 2021, and the second on 28th September 2021.  She'd told everyone that the second jab had made her really sick. She couldn't get out of bed for four days and nights. Her employer didn't believe the jab had made her sick and bullied her into working.

Around midnight Saturday 13th November, 2021, my daughter drove herself to Emergency and presented with shortness of breath. The hospital didn't do a spirometry test, lung function or any test for asthma. There was no medical history of chronic asthma. They didn't look at other causes, didn't do an ECG, no d-dimer, no troponin. The hospital of course tested for (and excluded) Covid-19. They ignored the blood test results which showed my daughter's Eosinophil levels at 20 times normal. They ignored her clumped white blood cells. Instead of immediately admitting my daughter, the hospital diagnosed an acute asthma attack. They then treated her with mass doses of Ventolin (16 puffs every half hour). Then discharged her with oral steroids, a preventer and reliever.

And even whilst she couldn't breathe, was tachycardic and was negative for Covid-19, they made my daughter wear a mask. Three days later she was dead, on shift, at her workplace. I found this photo on her phone. 

Given that her autopsy shows vaccine-induced myocarditis in her heart tissue, and her heart was almost double its normal size, we believe the oral steroids and high doses of inhaled steroids were enough to trigger her cardiac arrest. The Coroner wilfully ignored medical evidence, the timeline of illness, the mistreatment by the hospital, the culpability of the employer and inconsistencies throughout the entire "investigation".

The forensic pathology department conveyed to me on day 7 after my girl died, after she had been cut up, that there was no asthma in her lungs but her heart was enlarged — and that after 6 month of pathology, the cause of death would be UNDETERMINED.

I reported my daughters' death as an AEFI to TGA. As far as I know, they never followed up, however her Australian Immunisation Register was removed. To this day, all FOIS are denied as "Not in the Public Interest".

5 1/2 months after my daughter died, a detective from Child Protection submitted a one-page report, dated 17/11/2021. This was added to the original police report. It stated that my daughter had been preparing horse feed when a gust of wind blew chaff in the air, causing her chronic asthma to flare up and she died from asthma. (The feed room was INSIDE; my daughter WAS NOT an asthmatic; and she had been feeding horses chaff and all other feeds for 13 years without ever having a reaction).

Two weeks later the Forensic Pathologist concluded she died from asthma. The Coroner agreed.

The police report states co-workers of several years were "unaware she had asthma".

The girl that found her told me personally that "there was no warmth in her body" when she found her, and they thought my daughter was upset, so they left her alone when they saw her walk out the front, a few metres to her car. Why is the employer not responsible for my child's wellbeing, when at work!?

I pursued a claim with WorkCover Queensland, against my daughter's employer. Initially, the employer was cleared. After appeal, the employer was found responsible for my daughter's death due to "exacerbation of an existing medical condition". The tribunal declared horse feed had caused asthma which caused death. (I have appealed citing the timeline of her symptoms exactly matching the second Pfizer shot.)

The shot she was given is no longer available in Australia. The three-week (21 day) recommended time between first and second is now eight weeks (56 days).  In Australia in over two years, there has officially been zero adverse reactions to Pfizer Comirnaty, leading to death.

It's now 28 months without my girl. The baby I nurtured and loved is now a box of ashes on the shelf. Did the funeral home sift out her braces wire, or did it melt? Why didn't I give her a comforter to take on her journey? Why didn't I give her one last cuddle? Why was she injected with poison? Why doesn't our government care?
